Use your...ImagiNations

Hullo out there! Happy post Oscars night one and all, and congrats to the lovely winners. In the words of a friend, "Natalie Portman, you killed it." And she did, as always. Who saw Black Swan, hm? Genius. And terrifying. But I digress.
The real reason for my post is the lovely moment I am having right now silently sitting on my bestie's couch (Christie) and enjoying the movie that, her opinion, should have won and award from every category, How To Train Your Dragon. A classic family animation that has won both of our hearts...mostly based on the fact that we wish we could fly.
The wind in our hair, the sun on our face, the feeling of weightlessness as we reach the top of the clouds. Brilliant. But for now the only soaring I'll be doing will be on the wings of my imagination. Too cheesy? Good. Because I'm cheesin' it up for the next month. March Madness! This entire month is devoted to fun, excitement, and pure Disney magic, because I'm gonna be an Imagineer!!
You heard me cyber world! A Disney Imagineer...well, maybe. I'm entering ImagiNations 2011. A team of two designers, and engineer, and a communications major are working together to create the most spectacular thing since Mickey donned the magic hat! The Team is assimilating to call together the most promising of the Jr Superheroes to battle the unknown villain that's terrorizing The City. It's going to be EPIC!

Stay tuned for project updates.

From the desk of...thelittleredhairedgirl

Oh Valentine's day...you have passed me by once again. But with the combined efforts of my roommates, my friends, my lovely mother, and Jesus this Vday has turned out to be the best ever! No pressure, no commitments, no complaining, no issues, no picking out an outfit that he will finally like, no dry chicken, no dumb movie, no loneliness, no fears. It was just, simple, marvelous joy. My new favorite tradition, smashing. Grab a plate. Fill it with whatever you can think of that you want to beat up, rip apart, and spit on. Then smash it, after a quick and hateful speech of course. I completely covered my plate. So much to say. I think it kinda shocks people what I hold in. Nobody has any idea the thoughts that constantly flow through my brain. It would shock some people, but I keep it to myself. I always have and always will. I'm stubborn and I don't intend to let anyone break me of that here anytime soon. I sit here now, talking to you through intense sleep deprivation that will continue to grow through the rest of this week and think back once again on the marvelous day I just had. My valentines were a hit, I finally created my identity...or it's in the works, got inspired for a logo design, and skipped class!! What a beautiful day.

Of course who can pass up Vday without thinking about the fact that you're still alone. I thought of Pete Klesco on multiple occasions today. I wasn't too distracted. I even ran into him for a brief time, it was pleasant. He gave me a hug. I gave him candy. We chatted. Swapped stories. He still doesn't know. It's easier if I lie. Every time.

Now I'm off to bed with the sonorous tones of "crash" by Adam McCoy playing in the background. I'm telling you, he's famous.

Oh, Ginger snap!

"Monday, Monday"

Oh what a monday. So how was our weekend internet world? Mine was actually pretty fantastic! Saturday we had a meeting for the Mission trip to Waco during spring break. First of all I am extremely stressed about this whole trip. Sharing my "story," talking to people on the street, raising $685 just to get there. Its all rather overwhelming, but very exciting!

So after all the excitement I came home and gave myself a much needed facial! My skin was so smooth and wonderful! I've always wanted a professional facial, but honestly I think I would

freak out on the lady trying to poke my face with God knows what kind of concoctions. I might have a boisnberry allergy that I'm not aware of and you're about to spread it all over my face!! No thank you ma'am. Ok, so maybe I don't want a legit facial, my homemade ones will work for now.

Sunday was also a treat! A relaxing afternoon followed by some serious Jesus time, and a lovely night with some lovely ladies. Oh, and Madea dropped by for a visit. I can't get enough of that Madea goodness, she's hilarious!! I made some chicken marsala for everyone, and...I must say, I out did myself. Restaurant quality as Dad says. Delish! Of course going to bed at 2am is never a good idea when you have a monday 8am. That was dumb. Mondays are awful, I recently had a conversation with Ryan about giving all the days of the week epic names. Sunday Funday, Ultimate Tuesday, Friday Fry Day, and something awful for Monday. I'm working on it.

You know those moments when you have a random French Pop song stuck in your head and you just can't but help grab a baguette and do the can can? Hm, guess not.

In high school my friends had a code name for this certain guy that they all liked. He was cute, charming, popular, witty, smart, he was Pete Klesco. I never saw what they did, but I think I finally found my Pete Klesco (who, ps, must always be referred to with both first and last name). To clarify, I've jumped back nearly 6 yrs to a time of mindless giggles, horrible blushing, incoherent babbling, and whispers behind his back. It's rather pathetic. He doesn't know, so I'm safe, for now. But how my sisters kept this up for nearly 3 yrs I will never know. Talk about exhausting! I'm nearly positive he doesn't even notice my existence, but on the chance occasion he does notice I turn out to be of little interest to him. I'll keep you posted on this most tragic subject. Maybe.

Yours truly,
LB

Ps. Thank you Lauren for the lovely sound track you provided me during my blog write time, it was quite an adventure

Good evening! Well night actually. Friday night to be specific. When all the world is out thanking God that's it friday, I'm here. At my desk. Trying to be productive. Which is less of a success than I care to admit. But I digress. Actually I'm having a rather relaxing night to myself. I made some awesome cajun chicken and rice, put some checks on that ever growing check list, cleaned my room, danced around with my swiffer sweeper, painted for open mic night, and watched a movie in the fort in my living room...yes, the fort in my living room!!

That's my friend, Captain. He's a pelican. And he's adorable.

For ages now I've wanted to start a blog. Correction, I started a blog ages ago, but I want to actual use it! Now I follow some pretty amazing people and love reading about their beautiful lives everyday, but I want to share my beautiful life with people! First thing's first, here's what you should know about the Ginger Avenger! (in no particular order)
  1. I'm and art student at Texas State.
I love San Marcos! I couldn't imaging going anywhere else for school and I couldn't imaging doing anything else with my life. I get to make things pretty all day!
  2. I am a natural red head.
And proud of it! You notice when we read heads walk in a room
  3. My favorite animals are lions and pelicans.
    lions=awesome. pelicans=cool. that is all.
  4. I have a sound track to life! In my head. I hum, blast, dance to, twirl around, sway with, and live vicariously through music.
  5. I will never grow up.
Neverland is real, I will find it.
  6. Coffee is a daily necessity.
The best smell to wake up to.
  7. I love Jesus!
  8. I day dream hourly, at least.
  9. My family is amazing! They are the rockstars in my life.
  10. Cartoons keep me company.
  11. I have friends are all around, but kindred spirits are few and far between. I love you.
  12. I am an awful speller, don't right terrible.
  13. This list is getting awkwardly long. Isn't a blog about sharing who you are...ok, so I'll end this now and you can read later

Yours truly, LB
